Ink illustration demonstrating the symbiotic and one of a kind relationship between Egyptian Plovers and Crocodiles.

Crocodiles rely on these plovers to remove the flesh stuck in between their sharp teeth after they have eaten. They do this by presenting their mouths open which the Egyptian Plovers are seeking out for.

These plovers will approach the crocodiles by entering into their mouth and eating the remains in between their teeth which is pleasant for the Plovers getting a meal and the Crocodiles keeping up to date with hygiene.

This is apparently how flossing works in nature!
